The complex

A little history

The ten townhouses were built in 1981 and registered as strata plan VIS 1118 — ten strata lots, all sharing the one address at 240 Higson Crescent.

The inn people remember on this crescent was not Higson Court but the Ben Bow Inn, which stood across the road at number 217. It went up in the late 1920s — the bed and breakfast on the site dates it to 1927, and it first turns up in directories in 1932 — and it ran as a summer retreat for thirty-eight years. The inn is long gone now, but Higson Court was built within sight of where it stood.
